Yuzu is a citrus fruit grown and appreciated in Japan. Visually similar to a lemon but with a strong fragrance, unique herbaceous notes, slight bitterness and less pronounced acid flavor. Our Yuzu Gin is born from a base of locally grown barley which is distilled into a traditional shōchū spirit. We redistill our shōchū with juniper, yuzu, regional citrus fruits and botanicals, respecting the 1500-year-old tradition of growing and harvesting yuzu in Japan. The flavor of yuzu is tart and fragrant, resembling that of lemon and grapefruit, with hints of tangerine.
