Black Barrel is created as a co-laboratory between our master blender and our bartenders. As its name suggests, it is aged in charred oak barrels. The charred surface reduces tannins and opens the pores of the wood, giving the spirit a deeper, smoother taste. The result is a deep, aromatic flavor that gives your drink or cocktail extra finesse. A quality blend that can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks.

AH Riise's Royal Danish Navy has always been closely linked to the world's oceans and maritime life, and the delicious Black Barrel Navy Spiced blend is no exception. Unlike other AH Riise blends which have a more vibrant amber hue, Black Barrel is more the color of molasses. This comes from aging the rum in heavily charred oak barrels, the rum gains oak barrels which have a heavily charred interior. A faithful companion on land, at sea and in the air.
