The original taste of the navy
It is said that Albert Heinrich Riise's rum was supplied to the naval fleet when it docked in the port of Charlotte Amalie.
This naval treasure is hand-blended by our master distiller in keeping with naval traditions, using multiple barrels to create this ultimate blend. The casks selected for this blend come from a molasses-based rum generated by slow fermentation. It is then distilled into an 85% alcohol rum. This is achieved using the traditional pot-still method of distillation, which results in a high ester content and strong aroma.

Original methods
The bottling of "Royal Danish Navy" aims to be true to the original ingredients and methods used in Apothecary Hall in the Danish West Indies. According to historical recollections, when the Danish navy was moored at Charlotte Amalie, it received provisions of AH Riise rum. AH Riise Royal Danish Navy was produced in honor of this important era.
